The Danish designer Tobias Jacobsen was born in 1965. He is a trained goldsmith, attended the School of Design in Pforzheim, Germany, and graduated as a furniture and industrial designer from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design.
As the grandson of the internationally acclaimed architect and designer Arne Jacobsen, Tobias Jacobsen grew up surrounded by his grandfather's design and architecture. From a young age he developed a keen sense of space, form and function, and today, in addition to his own design practice,

Tobias Jacobsen has his studio in Copenhagen, Denmark, and is engaged in collaborative projects throughout Europe and Asia.
